Effective immediately, Dr. Paul Hertz of the Research Division of the NASA Office of Space Science has assumed the duties of Acting Program Scientist for Discovery. His assignment places him in charge of the Announcement of Opportunity Discovery 2000 Evaluation Panel. He will have responsibility for the review and evaluation of the 27 proposals that were received on August 18, 2000.
