JPL's Bobby G. Williams received a NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal for his outstanding achievement in directing the Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) Shoemaker Navigation Team during the successful cruise, orbit, and spectacular soft landing of the spacecraft on asteroid 433 Eros.
