Genesis Featured in NASA Dryden Educator Workshop
7/29/02

Educators are invited to attend a free workshop on Saturday, August 17, to learn how the Genesis mission can contribute to teaching science and math standards.

Titled "Catching Pieces of the Sun," the workshop will be held at the NASA Dryden Professional Resource Center at 45108 N. 3rd Street East in Lancaster, CA, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Launched on August 8, 2001, the Genesis spacecraft is now orbiting in space collecting particles of solar wind that will be returned to Earth in 2004. Atom by atom, this cargo will be closely analyzed to give us a better understanding of the building blocks of our Solar System.

To RSVP for this workshop, please contact Tami Simmons at (661) 276-5009 or (800) 521-3416 x5009 or by fax (661) 276-3088 at least one week before the workshop date.
